The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has initiated legal action against some workers of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) following a dispute linked to internal administrative and industrial matters.
The suit, filed before a competent court in Abuja, is connected to actions taken by the affected workers that the minister considers unlawful and disruptive to the smooth running of the FCT administration. Although full details of the claims are yet to be made public, the case is understood to revolve around allegations of misconduct, disobedience to official directives, and activities said to undermine constituted authority within the FCTA.
Wike is seeking judicial intervention to restrain the workers from further actions he believes are capable of crippling essential services and governance in the nation’s capital. The minister maintains that while workers have the right to express grievances, such actions must be carried out within the bounds of the law and established civil service regulations.
Sources familiar with the matter disclosed that the dispute may be linked to disagreements over recent policy decisions, administrative reforms, or enforcement measures introduced
