Iran attacks US bases in Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, Iran launched a series of retaliatory missile and drone strikes targeting multiple U.S. military facilities across several Gulf Arab states hosting American assets. This escalation followed a major joint military operation by the United States and Israel against targets inside Iran earlier that day, which included strikes on Iranian military, government, and leadership sites.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) described the operation—named “True Promise 4” in some reports—as a direct response to the U.S.-Israeli attacks. The IRGC stated that its forces delivered “powerful blows” using missiles and drones against U.S. and Israeli military targets across the Middle East. Iranian officials, including state media and the IRGC, confirmed that the strikes aimed at U.S. bases in the region, declaring all American assets legitimate targets and vowing that operations would continue until the “enemy” is defeated.
