“No Force Can Halt ADC Convention,” Says Dino Melaye

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dino Melaye, has declared that no amount of intimidation or opposition can prevent the party from holding its planned national convention.

Speaking during a gathering with party supporters and stakeholders, Melaye expressed confidence in the ADC’s preparedness and unity ahead of the convention. He emphasized that the event is a constitutional right of the party and a critical step in strengthening its internal democracy and organizational structure.

Melaye dismissed speculations and threats suggesting that the convention could be disrupted, insisting that the party remains resolute. According to him, attempts to create fear or uncertainty around the event would not succeed, as members across the country are determined to participate and move the party forward.

He further stated that the convention would serve as an opportunity to reposition the ADC, elect key officials, and outline strategies for future political engagements. He called on party members to remain focused and avoid distractions, assuring them that necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth and successful gathering.

Party stakeholders present at the meeting echoed similar sentiments, reaffirming their commitment to the convention and the broader goals of the ADC. They noted that the party’s leadership is working diligently to address internal concerns while maintaining cohesion.

Security and logistical plans are reportedly being finalized to ensure that the convention proceeds without disruptions. Organizers have also reiterated their commitment to conducting a transparent and credible process that reflects the will of party members.

The development comes amid heightened political activities and realignments within the country, with observers closely watching how events within opposition parties may shape the broader political landscape.
