Yoruba nation advocate, Sunday Igboho, has commended President Bola Tinubu for what he described as the administration’s determined efforts in securing the release of students and teachers who were abducted during a recent kidnapping incident in Oyo State.

Speaking shortly after news of the victims’ freedom emerged, Igboho stated that the Federal Government mobilized security and intelligence resources to ensure the safe return of those held captive. According to him, the coordinated response demonstrated the government’s commitment to protecting citizens and addressing insecurity in affected communities.

He noted that the release of the victims brought relief to families, school authorities, and residents who had endured days of anxiety following the abduction. Igboho further praised the security agencies involved in the operation, describing their efforts as professional and effective.

The incident had reportedly generated widespread concern among parents and education stakeholders, with many calling for stronger security measures around schools and vulnerable communities across the country.

Following the successful rescue operation, community leaders renewed calls for improved surveillance, increased deployment of security personnel, and stronger collaboration between local communities and law enforcement agencies to prevent future incidents.

Igboho emphasized the need for sustained action against kidnapping and other forms of violent crime, stressing that the safety of students and educational institutions should remain a national priority.

Meanwhile, authorities reiterated their commitment to combating insecurity and ensuring that those responsible for criminal activities are identified and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

The development has renewed discussions on the importance of intelligence gathering, rapid response mechanisms, and community participation in strengthening security across Nigeria.
