The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sokoto State has selected House of Representatives member Bello Ambarura as its deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 governorship election, marking a significant step in the party’s preparations for the next electoral cycle.
The announcement was made following consultations among party stakeholders aimed at strengthening the party’s ticket and positioning it for a competitive campaign ahead of the polls. Party leaders described the choice of Ambarura as one based on experience, political capacity, and his record of public service.
Speaking after his emergence, Ambarura expressed appreciation to the party leadership and delegates for the confidence reposed in him.
