Popular Nigerian content creator and livestream personality Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has dismissed claims that he is wealthy, insisting that he still sees himself as an ordinary young man from Ikorodu despite his growing fame and online success.
Speaking during a recent interaction with fans, Peller said many people have the wrong impression about his financial status because of the lifestyle they see on social media. According to him, appearances can be misleading, and he does not consider himself rich.
The content creator explained that his humble background continues to shape his outlook on life. He noted that growing up in Ikorodu taught him the value of hard work, perseverance, and discipline, adding that he has not forgotten where he came from despite becoming one of the country’s most recognizable digital entertainers.
Peller stressed that his journey to success was not easy, recalling that he faced several challenges before gaining popularity through his online content. He said his focus remains on building his career and creating opportunities for himself rather than trying to project an image of wealth.
His comments quickly generated reactions on social media, with many supporters praising his humility and willingness to acknowledge his roots. Others, however, questioned his remarks, pointing to previous statements in which he spoke about his financial achievements and savings.
Despite the mixed reactions, Peller maintained that he remains committed to his personal growth and career, emphasizing that fame has not changed his identity or his connection to the community where he was raised.
