APC Senatorial Primary: Ned Nwoko Threatens Legal Action, Expresses Confidence in Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Intervention

Senator Ned Nwoko has expressed dissatisfaction over the outcome of the All Progressives Congress senatorial primary in his district, declaring that he is prepared to challenge the process in court.

Speaking shortly after the exercise, the lawmaker alleged that there were irregularities during the primary and insisted that the outcome did not reflect the true wishes of party members and delegates. He maintained that the process must remain transparent and credible in order to protect the integrity of the party ahead of future elections.

Nwoko stated that his legal team had already begun reviewing the events surrounding the primary and would take appropriate action to seek justice. According to him, internal democracy must be respected, adding that party members deserve fairness during candidate selection processes.

Despite his grievances, the senator expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would intervene to ensure that justice prevails within the party. He described the President as a leader committed to fairness and democratic principles, noting that he believes the matter will receive proper attention at the highest level.

The senator also appealed to his supporters to remain calm and peaceful while the situation is being addressed. He urged party loyalists not to engage in violence or actions capable of creating division within the APC.

Political observers believe the development could spark further discussions within the ruling party over the conduct of internal primaries and the growing demand for transparent electoral processes among party members.

Meanwhile, party stakeholders in the district have called for reconciliation among aggrieved aspirants to prevent internal disputes from affecting the APC’s preparations for upcoming elections.
