President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to tackling Nigeria’s economic, security, and developmental challenges, declaring that his administration will not shy away from the responsibilities of governance despite mounting criticism and inherited difficulties.
The President stated that he accepted the responsibility of leading the country with a clear understanding of the complex issues confronting the nation, emphasizing that his administration remains focused on delivering meaningful reforms and long-term solutions. He stressed that the challenges inherited by his government require determination, consistency, and the collective support of Nigerians.
Tinubu noted that his administration is implementing policies aimed at stabilising the economy, improving infrastructure, strengthening national security, expanding social investment programmes, and creating opportunities for businesses and young people. According to him, while some of the reforms have been difficult, they are intended to lay the foundation for sustainable economic growth and national prosperity.
He also urged Nigerians to remain patient and optimistic, assuring them that the government is committed to fulfilling its promises under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The President maintained that setbacks would not discourage his administration from pursuing reforms designed to improve the country’s future and enhance the welfare of citizens.
Tinubu further called on political leaders, stakeholders, and citizens to work together in promoting national unity, respect for democratic institutions, and peaceful engagement. He emphasized that overcoming Nigeria’s challenges requires collective responsibility rather than division, adding that the government remains open to constructive ideas that will advance national development.
Reaffirming his resolve, the President said his administration would remain focused on governance and would continue implementing policies aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
