The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has declared that the international community may eventually align with opposition forces ahead of the 2027 presidential election in a bid to unseat Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during a public address, the cleric warned that the political atmosphere surrounding the next general election could become more intense as economic concerns, insecurity, and public dissatisfaction continue to shape national discourse.
Primate Ayodele stated that several opposition figures and political blocs are already engaging in consultations aimed at forming a united front capable of challenging the ruling party in 2027. According to him, foreign interests and international observers may lend support to any coalition that presents itself as a credible alternative to the current administration.
He further claimed that the ruling government must urgently address the growing hardship facing Nigerians, warning that failure to improve living conditions could strengthen opposition movements across different regions of the country.
The cleric also advised political leaders within the opposition to put aside personal ambitions and focus on building a strong alliance if they hope to make meaningful impact during the next election cycle. He stressed that divisions among opposition parties could weaken their chances despite growing public frustration.
Primate Ayodele added that the coming months would witness major political realignments, defections, and strategic partnerships among influential politicians preparing for the 2027 contest. He urged Nigerians to remain prayerful and vigilant as the nation gradually moves toward another crucial electoral season.
Meanwhile, political analysts believe discussions around the 2027 elections are expected to intensify as parties reposition themselves and key actors begin consultations across the country.
