Pastor Kingsley Okonofua Counters Primate Ayodele’s Prediction on Nuhu Ribadu’s 2027 Governorship Chances

Pastor Kingsley Okonofua has publicly disagreed with a recent political prophecy released by Primate Ayodele concerning the future political ambition of Nuhu Ribadu ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

According to Pastor Okonofua, he does not share the view that Ribadu would lose the governorship race, insisting that political outcomes are influenced by several spiritual, social, and leadership factors that can change over time. He stated that prophecies should not always be interpreted as final conclusions, especially in politics where circumstances can evolve before elections take place.

The pastor explained that leadership, strategy, public acceptance, and divine direction all play important roles in determining electoral success. He maintained that Ribadu still possesses the potential to remain politically relevant and competitive if the right structures and support systems are in place ahead of the election.

Okonofua further noted that while he respects Primate Ayodele as a spiritual leader, differences in prophetic interpretations are not unusual among clerics. He emphasized that spiritual messages should be approached with wisdom, prayer, and careful discernment rather than fear or political panic.

The comments have sparked reactions among political observers and supporters of Ribadu, with many debating the growing influence of prophecies and religious opinions in Nigeria’s political landscape. Some supporters described the disagreement as a reflection of varying spiritual perspectives, while others argued that elections should ultimately be decided by voters and governance performance rather than predictions.

Nuhu Ribadu, a former anti-corruption chairman and prominent political figure, continues to remain active in national affairs, with speculation already growing around possible political alignments and ambitions ahead of the 2027 elections.
